Avian Enrichment
Environmental enrichment for parrots is often thought of as hanging a few toys in a bird's cage. The lack of enrichment we offer our birds is at the heart of many health and behavior problems. A good enrichment plan for our pet birds is well thought out and considers the bird's natural history as well as ways to use all five senses.
The NCBC enrichment pages will offer details of the environmental enrichment we provide for all of our birds and other critters. The goal of this section is to document strategies for others to replicate for their parrots as well as promote enrichment in every captive animal's life.
